Beautiful. The way that guitar is appointed is quite elaborate - but done in SUCH a classy way. The maple binding all around (including soundhole), the inlaid rosewood around the rosette. Just beautiful.

That looks beautiful. Tell us more about it!

It does don't it!

it's an 814CE DLX, RW B&S , Spruce top. ES2 pickup V Class bracing.

(which I know some don't not go for. But I think it'll be just right, well see right?)

The ebony fretboard has a very light bit of streaking, but this was the least of all the ones available. I know it does nothing other than cosmetics, but I like them without the streaks. There was another one which had almost no color shifts in the grain. That was snatched right out from under my keyboard before I could move on it.

I receive compliments on the streaked ebony fretboard on my 810 all the time. I mean - a LOT! Personally, I could take it or leave it - but I've learned to like it because people comment on it basically any time I leave the house with it!

But I'm glad you found one that suits your preferences!

Yep... weak. Actually, isn't that why we're ALL here?

Congratulations on a beautiful guitar.

Congratulations.

For what it's worth, I like the look of streaked ebony. Seems more natural to me.

Hey you waited a few years I wouldn’t call that weak! I’m proud of myself if I wait a few weeks.

About the streaked ebony..

I really would not mind the streaking at all, it's really down to just an edge in preference. I'm glad Taylor is using what they harvest. In another time, they'd have not used those parts of the trees, this is the right thing to do.

haha! yes, Kerbie all true. Maybe someday I'll stop buying guitars... wait... no.. never mind, forget I said that... I'd just be fooling myself anyway.

Ah! a valid point, thanks,, you've helped me cure what could have been a serious momentary bout of buyers remorse.... Phew!!

I prefer the look of streaked ebony but it distracts me when Im playing so I dont tolerate it. Its really about marketing, it makes Taylor more money just as the V class guitars. The intent was to make a million players think they had to have the new and "improved" bracing which will make the guitar "sound so much better" than the previous bracing.
