In truth there are too many that influenced me to cut it down to 5 and the "most" varies day to day. Here's a list of 5 off the top of my head this morning.

Frank Zappa - Shut Up and Play Your Guitar. Lots of unusual note choices over some fairly static harmonic environments. I went and did likewise.

Byrds - Fifth Dimension. McGuinn's electric 12-string sound, and Coltrane/Raga riffs on 8 Miles High make me list this one over Younger Than Yesterday. Close call.

Bill Evans and Jim Hall - Undercurrent. Another close call with Sonny Rollins' The Bridge which also has Hall. I don't have Hall's harmonic chops, but his way of playing/improvising counterpoint lines grabbed me.

Television - Marquee Moon. The Live at the Fillmore East of the what was labeled the Punk explosion.

Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland. There has to be a Hendrix record, and I guess I'll pick this one, though it could be any of them on a given day.

Those first few Van Halen albums, up to and including 1984, were great.

I saw Guns N’ Roses when they opened for Iron Maiden in May 1988. No one knew who they were because it was before Sweet Child 'O Mine came out. My cousin played the tape for me a couple of times before the show and then I bought it. Slash has great tone.

Tough to pick only 5...

1. The Ventures - "Walk, Don't Run"

2. Jimi Hendrix - "Are You Experienced?"

3. Wes Montgomery - "A Day in the Life"

4. Pat Metheny - "Bright Size Life"

5, Steely Dan - "The Royal Scam" (w/ Carlton, Parks, Becker, etc,,,)

Led Zep I, II - definitely, absolutely, my breast feeding
Cpt Beefheart TMR, Lick My Decals, Spotlight Kid
Allman Brothers Live

Wes Mo anything ..

.. see, it gets too complicated I´d need 10-20 instead of just 5

So hard to pick only five, all kinds of music but especially Rock has been Electric guitar driven since the 1950'
Although I only played electric from 67 to 69 until 4 years ago I never lost my appreciation for the Electric guitar

So besides all the the great ones mentioned so far, here is an eclectic smattering albums or songs that had an impact on me

Back to my roots so obviously the Ventures, BUT before when I was only 8 I remember this song on the radio and my older brother had the 45

Fast forward to the 60's

Albums I owned

Moving on quickly

And

And then

This will be very hard but I'll give one for every decade I've been alive (will also give a better idea of why this thread will see so much diversity). It will be especially hard to only choose only one from the 80s

1970s * Pink Floyd- The Wall

1980s * Van Halen- 1984

1990s * Pantera- Cowboys from Hell

2000s * Joe Satriani- Is There Love in Space

2010 * Steve Vai- The Story of Light

2020 ???

I like how you separated by decade. Props to 1984 - that was one of my favorite albums that year and into 1985

If I was allowed a 6th album, and no punishment for an unconventional choice,

Hendrix Cry of Love.

If you listen carefully, he was at his peak just prior to his end :~(. Even some of the vocals are quite impressive.

Mountain - Climbing
Mountain - Nantucket Sleighride
James Gang - James Gang Rides Again
Jackson Browne - For Everyman
Allman Brothers - Live at The Fillmore East

The last two (Jackson Browne and Allman Brothers) were the albums that introduced me to the genius of David Lindley's lap steel and Duane Allman's slide guitar work.
