Glad the Bears got Fields--desperately needed a great QB without a bunch of miles on his odometer. Hope giving up all those choices for next year doesn't come back to bite them.

QUOTE=Tahitijack;6706322]I missed the name, but ESPN was reporting on a player that was expecting to go during the first day, but didn't. I kind of felt sorry for him, sitting there with friends and family waiting and waiting and waiting and.... until they said well, that's it, we'll see you tomorrow. Anyone remember who the player was?

Highlight reels always make each player no matter where they are on the ladder, look like a future hall of fame candidate. We all know they do make their fair share of mistakes. But its fun to watch.[/QUOTE]

It may have been Jeremiah Owuso-Koramoah, an outstanding linebacker from Notre Dame. He was expected to go in the middle of the first round but he didn’t. He was ranked the number two LB coming out this year.
He ended up getting drafted in the second round at #52 by my Browns. Most experts feel he was a steal and many teams will regret letting him get away.
The Browns moved up to get him.

What are your thoughts on the 2021 schedule that was just released?

Brady and the Bucs are in New England week 4. If Brady averages 285 yards per game over the first four games he'll break the career passing yards record in that game.

What's going to happen with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers?

Adam Vinatieri retires. I missed him when he left the Patriots but we were lucky that Gostkowski stepped in after Vinatieri left.

Your guess is as good as mine. I just hope it gets resolved soon, one way or the other.

Yea. I don't see Rodgers going to training camp and the last thing I want to see is for him to not play this year. I think they'll work something for this season.

I'm inclined to agree with you, Dru. Aaron has an unusual personality for an athlete. He might return, he could walk away like Barry Sanders, or anything in between.

Barry Sanders walking away is a stunner. Things have been written about it but I still don't think we know exactly what happened other than he just gave up / lost hope.

Just checked the stats - Sanders is #4 all time rushing yards. One more season played and he may have been #2. He only played 10 seasons. Only 6 playoff games played and only once winning that first game.

I still remember Barry running with just a single shoe
