Default Taylor Expression System

When you plug anything into the Taylor guitar input should the red light inside the soundhole always be on or does it turn off after a short time?

I believe it should be on when plugged in.

And if you leave a cord plugged in, it will run your battery down.

When the light is on you know it’s plugged in and the battery is good.

When the light goes out when it’s plugged in that means the battery needs replacing soon.

Thank you. I suspect my battery is dead as it was not sending a signal to my daw. When i plugged in the light came on for a few seconds and then died.

Yes, that's a dead battery. Happens very quickly with a Taylor, its working, then a short period of distortion, then dead.
