Phil Jones Cub Amps as a multi use (Acoustic & Electric)?
Hi all - had a question. I'm probably moving to Europe and just now realizing that my Mesa Boogie Studio .22 and my AER Alpha are both 120v 60hz. Sigh.
And AER won't adapt / service my amp to switch it to 240, so I'm looking at selling them (sigh number 2) and so I never have to do this again, I'm trying to find an all in one that has switchable voltage. The Phil Jones Cub amps are the current / only candidate. Does anyone have experience on using a Cub as a multi-use amp - i.e. running an electric / distortion through it? I know that with my Fishman Aura, I'll be fine using it for acoustics, but can I run a pedalboard through it and get a passable sound for home practice? I can't find a small tube amp that has dual voltage, so I'm looking for a replacement for my AER that can serve double duty for a few months after the move. Thanks in advance for any advice. |

I just bought a schertler sub and
Noticed a power switch on the back To go from 240 to 110. Perhaps Their other amps have this as well. Not sure how the jam or unico or david Sound with electric.?? |
