Default tips for an aspiring luthier?

im 17 and after high school i plan to attend a luthier school in canada called summit school of guitar building/repair. i eventually want to either become a luthier or own my own repair shop and i have some questions about being a luthier.
-how would you finance the tools, equipment, inventory (guitars and amps) and supplies for a repair shop?
- if i wanted to open a shop where i build, sell and reapair guitars, what are some key steps in getting started?
- just any advice i might need from your past experiences
- would you find it neccessary to go to business school, or just learn the mechanics of business from someone who already runs their own shop?

You might get some useful info by also posing your question at the Official Luthiers Forum: http://www.luthiersforum.com/
