Wow. I've seen enough of Mike's guitars to expect those details, and as usual, his work doesn't leave room for disappointment. Fantastic stuff, as usual.
That guitar is a stunner... |

Wow, the entire guitar is amazing, and I especially like that cutaway. Both the angles, the smooth and sharp angles, as well as the concave line going depth-wise. That's some craftsmanship

Well, I've played two of your Bariniks and haven't been anything less than amazed. When do I get to play this one?

LC - I agree! Tom really surprised me they're so good (and I was there watching!). His portraiture has always been great, and I've enjoyed his scenics and landscapes, but these were a treat!
Don - thanks! And thanks for posting! Savaschi - I agree - Mike's artistic sense fits what I really like in line and curve. Thanks! TC - I was just thinking about the calendar and heading your way some weekend this spring! This one is really different than the coco/spruce. Warm, friendly, comfortable. You'll have fun switching between them! Phil

It's a lot of fun to play - and I'm still A/B'ing between the coco and mahog... both are great, and I'm sorting out what sounds best with what guitar. Cheers, Phil |

Thanks Jay! I'll be interested to see how your Drifter turns out, since I think I am an indirect beneficiary of that deal, right?
And did you mill that table-sized plank yet?? Enquiring minds and all that...!!! Thanks, Phil

Phil,
That 13 1/2 foot board that's over 3 feet wide remains un-billeted. Waiting for the economy to turn around a bit, I hear Taylor is down to 3 sets. Maybe they will come begging. LOL I've got 14 sets left from the last board. So I'm in no hurry. But I may be selling some more to pay down off my last CD project early. You got a FANTASTIC set. Brock's a sweet talker to have pried that one out of my hands. Can't wait to see yours and can't wait for him to start mine. Jay

Those are such hidous pieces of wood on those guitars, I'll be kind and take them off your hands for a buck . . . I won't be so cruel as to charge you for my service.

Well, having the mahogany on a Baranik, and a Ryan in your case, really helps too!
