During play music on the porch day Saturday we had a drop in harpist with a carbon fiber harp. Pretty cool.

Cool indeed. That darn Seagull was trying to sneak in the picture..I had one that used to do that... usually provoked by my Tak.

Was there any mention of the weight difference, carbon to wood?

Those prices are really quite reasonable.

$7500 for their 38 string harp

A nice 38 string wooden harp from Triplett runs $6600

Us guitarist are honestly spoiled rotten by how affordable our instruments are compared to other stringed instruments. A Luis and Clark CF violin runs 5 and a half grand.

Ahhhh. I clicked on the first model listed, the 47 string version . . .

(copy-paste below)

In Classic Black: $31,900
In Wood Grain or painted finish: $35,900
Shipping: $225.00

Good to see they have cheaper models also.

Nothing specific, but it was very light.

And that's why you do CF instead of wood!

Note that on the 47 string version, adding a wood or painted finish adds $4000 to the final tab!

Emerald's woody upgrades seem like a bargain in comparison!
