Default American standard Tele coming

Well, I finally made up my mind. No bass, no PRS, no Gibson. I've always wanted a Tele and now I've got one of the natural finished ones coming. I want to learn to play simple solos and fills. I know it's way more than I need but I've always wanted one. Hopefully Doug Seven videos will help. I'll let you know how it is she it shows up.

Congrats! I have one in Candy Cola and I love it. Lots of fun and nothing else sounds like a Tele. Enjoy!

Congrats. Two or more weeks into owning a very new American Special Tele. I love this guitar as much as anything. Very playable, very tweak-able. Nothing else like a good Tele. Enjoy!!

Great choice for a 1st guitar. No guitar collection is complete without at least one.

Congrats.

I got a 2012 Mystic Blue Am Std Telecaster in Oct '13. It is my first Fender electric ever. I am enjoying it and I bet you will like yours.

I'm going to video the unboxing I think. Here's a pic of it from Sweetwater. It's my guitar.

My American Standard Tele has been living at the studio for a while because it has been in demand. I think it is time for it to come back home.

I think you'll like your Tele.

I'd definitely recommend the Tele without a doubt. It's one of the most versatile guitars you can get and with a humbucker you can get just about any sound that you want. I was actually looking to get a new guitar myself and found a pretty good comparison chart comparing the Tele to other guitars. You can find it here.

cbayview: welcome to the agf!

i passed on the american standard tele due to the noiseless pickups but i've heard that the newest version is ok.
here is my 2012 american vintage 58 that is a killer machine. note that unlike the article indicating a tele weighs 22 lbs., mine weighs 7.8.

Excellent choice. I just plugged in mine after a couple of month. Love it. And will ever do!
