I have a Eastman AC222 and it's my number one guitar, completely ended my year long guitar hunt, it only took a few guitars but I landed with the Eastman.

Blues, yeah, I'm not surprised.

I'm not sure what they're doing over there at Eastman, but it is certainly something special. I've heard these same exact comments hundreds and hundreds of times.

I just did a swap locally for my 000-18 for a E10OM-TC + cash. I think I prefer the E10OM-TC to the 000-18 which kind of surprised me because I am a Martin homer. I like Eastman dreadnoughts, I just like Martin dreadnoughts more. However, in this body size/wood combination I gotta give it to the Eastman (yes I know it's not apples to apples).

Wow, that's amazing, Jesse. The 000-18 is a legendary model, right up there with the OMs. How old was your Martin 000?

2019, Pretty new. I picked it up here on AGF just a few weeks ago but I'm a dreadnought guy at heart. Any small bodied guitar is going to play second fiddle and won't get a ton of playing time at my house. On the occasions when I perform live I prefer to use a smaller body guitar as I find it amplifies better. I thought the 000-18 would kind of be wasted in that type of situation. So it worked out well. I was thinking of selling and find a small Eastman like an E6om to put a pickup in when this local trade opportunity fell in my lap. Plus now I can take the money I got back and put it towards another dreadnought!

SPEAKS FOR ME — i too got mine used 3 years ago, with a K & K pure mini already installed. i got it while continuing to search for my Ultimate Guitar, which, a year later became a '67 Martin 000-28.
Sold the Martin a year ago because it failed my wonderfulness test.
i kept the Eastman and my smile is still widening.
p.s. i think that a k&k blended with your Shure mic will grow yer grin.

I had an E20P for about a year and then sold it. The sound was all that I could wish for, but in comparison to my E20OM and Martin D-35, the neck and string spacing felt bad. The neck was wide and shallow, and the strings were widely spaced at nut and saddle, good for finger style but not for rapid flat picking. Since I located my wrist on the saddle, the flat or thumb picking was further from the sound hole. It did not have as many frets as the other guitars, so using a capo would run it out of frets. I did not like stringing the slot head. And, it was unusually large for a parlor.
The E20P was the end of my parlor search which gravitated upward through three others. It was the ultimate parlor, but in the end, the OM could do it all and replaced both the parlor and the dreadnought.

Oh, you. I heard through the grapevine that you got coal in your stocking again this year. That would make you naughty, not nice.

Regards,
Santa

It was a little early for Christmas but still counts. E8D-TC. I would wholeheartedly endorse this model.

Yeah, coal...AGAIN! I had asked for some 1.4 brown, large triangles, but Santa, you didn't take heed of my plea.
