Default Little Kate

Please enjoy this lovely song written by Takeshi Sakasegawa, a fine young Japanese fingerstyle artist.

Recorded on my Doerr Trinity 00.

Thanks Fred. I recently attended the BIG guitar celebration in Texas (a wonderful experience) and I brought this guitar with me. One of the luthiers there had brought a custom 00 very similar to this guitar. He had known Tom well and he was quite moved when I showed him this guitar. This guitar is very special, it will be with me for a long time.

I've not posted a song in a long time so I'm glad you think I've improved and going in the right direction. This is my first recording with new mics, Schoeps with the super cardioid capsules and they really seem to clean up the sound in my not so great recording environment. Thanks for the listen Barry.

That really sounded great. Great playing. I remember you playing in Texas back in Toms guitar room. You were playing a lot of interesting things but I didn’t hear something all the way through. Thanks for posting this and keep them coming. Would love to hear more.

Thanks Kenny, it was such a pleasure to meet you at BIG. Little Kate is a tune I worked up for an online recital that my teacher puts on biannually. We record video/audio of 1-2 songs and send it in for the recital which just happens to be tomorrow. I don’t play well in front of others (terrible “stage fright”) but I hope to get over myself as it’s just more fun when you can relax and play with new friends. I’ll hope to see you next year.
