"Top loading" tuners?
Just discovered that Imgur is no longer a free hosting site, so I'm trying another way to post an image. I believe it's working.
Does anyone know where I can find a set of the - I assume they're called - top loading tuners (hopefully) pictured @ the link below? Not interested in the "locking" aspect discussed in the article. Thanks https://gearaficionado.com/blog/the-...-expert-picks/ |

I haven't seen any change in Imgur, here's a test photo to see if it's working...
(Works fine, and it's free.) The tuners you show were the same as came on my Strat. They weren't "locking" tuners, simply have the slotted top and hollow string post to insert the string end. You can find various brands by searching for "split post" or "split shaft" tuners. Last edited by Rudy4; 06-16-2023 at 02:57 PM. |

Thanks Rudy,
I figured if yours was working, I should probably sign out and back in to see what the heck. It worked. Also, no, they're not locking tuners. I'm looking for recommendations as to where I can buy a set like that pictured below. |

They're just called "vintage style." Search "Fender vintage style tuners" and you should find plenty.
