For Sale: Charis SJ - African Blackwood and Sinker Redwood - FS or Trade

Hello All! I have regrettably decided to part ways with my gorgeous Charis SJ. For those unfamiliar with Charis (as I was prior to this guitar), they are built by luthier Bill Wise. This particular instrument is designed for finger style play, and the redwood top paired with the Blackwood back and sides give it a rich and dark tone with impressive sustain. I simply don’t find myself playing much finger style these days, and thus I’m hoping a player out there may be able to get more use out of this amazing instrument.

This is quite simply a beautiful guitar. In fact, it’s my wife’s favorite as she loves the aesthetics of the sinker redwood top. The redwood definitely brings a warm tone to the guitar. The instrument has an arm bevel and rib bevel. These make this a super comfortable instrument to play and hold.

If ordered today, this instrument would cost over $10k, according to Bill Wise. I’m listing it for $SOLD to AGF members. Feel free to message me with offers or trade ideas. I’m mainly interested in Martins or Santa Cruz guitars, but I’m open to any ideas.

I forgot to mention that the guitar is in mint condition, except for some minor fret wear on the high E and B area of the first few frets. The guitar is setup nicely with low action and very easy playability.
