Default NSD - Sully’s Straps

New Strap Day!

Just received my strap from Sully. I went with a Banjo Strap, 2” wide, with a headstock loop. It is exactly what I was looking for.

I highly recommend Sully’s Straps. The whole process was a pleasure and the strap is perfect!

That's a nice one! I have two Sully straps from several years ago.

Curious, why the headstock strap instead of the heel? I've always felt that the guitar was more unwieldy and pulled out of tune that way.

Preference. I don't care for strap buttons on my guitars, but that is just me.

Nice. I could use a new strap, so I'll have to check them out.

No better straps around. High quality and beautiful worksmanship regardless of vintage or modern.

Every time I get a guitar it gets treated to a new strap from Sully. I'm not the only one who does that.

Sully makes a great strap. We carried them in the shop back in the day, and they always sold very quickly.

That strap looks great. Please pardon the noob questions, but I am clueless, don't yet have a strap and could use the guidance.
1. Is your strap "rough" on the underside to help keep it from slipping?
1a. Is it even necessary for straps to be rough underneath for anti-slip reasons?
2. I see that you have the headstock end looped between the middle and top string posts rather than just above the nut. Any particular reason for that? Pros and cons?

Thanks, and congrats on a sweet looking strap. I will check out Sully's.
