Haven't had a chance to take pics yet, my wife and I had to go pick up our grandson and I have been busy otherwise. I already owned a Taylor 310ce that I liked but have been looking at a smaller body short scale all solid wood guitar and the 312ce has been on my radar for about a year now. A local shop had one on their wall for $1799. They advertised that they were discounting by $1549 + tax. When I went to test drive it the owner offered it to me for $1500 out the door, tax included! Seemed like a good deal to me and it plays like dream.

Here is a picture the music store took of my guitar as it hung on the wall in their shop. I will take a few myself and share them later.

Nice. The -12 is my favorite size. I hope you enjoy it.

Love it! I used to have a plain 312, no pick guard, no electronics, non cutaway, and a 1 7/8 neck, superb for fingerstyle. I regret selling it and my DN-3, with cream binding, rare and out of production. Enjoy!!

Ok, but its NGD which equals New Guitar Day. No where does it say "Yesterday's Guitar Day", let's get this straight.

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing the photos.

LOL! Barry's right. A few days never negates new baby pictures.

I bumped into a 312e 12 fret in a guitar store while on vacation right at the end of 2017 and simply had to take it home. I'm a bit batty about it, in fact.

Sweet! I want a 12 fret sometime. That will probably be the one I end up getting if I do.

Congrats! I've got a 322ce 12 fret. At first it sounded a little dead, but it opened up quickly and is now my main gigging acoustic. I know some folks are critical of the expression II system, but in my experience, I think it sounds great through a PA, and it's integrated into the body really well. Not to mention the satin finish shows almost no signs of wear despite a bunch of gigs in less than hospitable environments.

Let us know how you like it when you've had some time with it.

I had been eyeing the 312ce for awhile now and wanted a 14 fret which allows more access to high frets. It seemed like I saw more 12 fret models while window shopping though.
I do like the comfort of the smaller body and short scale, works nice during long jam sessions with my friends.

Hey, good for you. The 312 is one nice small guitar. It plays way better than you would expect and has lots of personality.
It really isn't the "entry level" Taylor some folks describe. It is way more guitar than that.
