That makes a lot of sense. How is the Journey as a gigging and practicing instrument?

I love it.
It’s got a 24.5 inch scale, built in pickup similar to a K&K.
It has done praise and worship fairly often.
I drive my wife across Kansas for work every month.
I take the OF660 with me every month.

Funny story, it stores in a case the size of an Carry-on bag.
I work fairly late, I had just enough time to run home after work and grab it, for rehearsal.
I ran in to practice and the two young ladies singing had never seen it.
They said, “I thought he was playing guitar. Where’s the guitar?”
Our leader smiled and said “Watch”.
So, I pulled it out of the case, snapped the neck on and tightened the bolt.
Pulled the strings, then tuned up and plugged in.
The dropped jaws? Priceless.

Most every working guitarist needs a beater. However, person A's beater might be person B's case queen. I have a Taylor 314 that is my beater. It's a really nice guitar for that role. For some folks it might not be nice enough and for others it might be too nice. It fits the role perfectly for me, and it get's played a little every week at least.
