Default Pavan Classical Guitars

Has anyone here ever owned or even heard of Pavan Guitars? It's a small dealer in upstate New York that I stumbled across. His guitars look very nice. For years I have been wanting to get the TP-20, an all solid Spanish made classical for about $1200. I could even drive there, no too far from MA. Just thought i'd ask around first.

ps. I have no right to be thinking of new guitars right now, last week I dropped $3k on a new Martin OM-28. Lol...

I think you'll find a number of people saying good things about Tom Prisloe and Pavan guitars. I have never played one, but I've read a lot of good press about these being great value for the money instruments.

Good luck with the purchase if you decide to move forward!

Just what I've heard too, about both quality and value.

I owned a TP-20, and had put it away years ago because of competing interests. I recently decided to go back to classical guitar, but due to arthritis in both hands I couldn't play it.

I picked up a Kremona 580mm scale guitar, which I could play, and sold my Pavan. Had it not been for the arthritis, I would have kept it, because it was a wonderful instrument.

If I could go back in time (without arthritis) I would purchase it again.

I used to own a TP-30 and it was awesome. The only reason I sold was to buy a steel string. Mine was cedar/rosewood and it was better than any other guitar I tried in that price range. Those included Ramirez studio series, Cordoba, Yamaha and Rodriguez. The only one that came close was a Yairi CY128 or CY 130, I can't remember. The Yairi was laminate back and sides.

If you search "delcamp Pavan" you will get some good info. Delcamp is a classical guitar forum.
