Should a Beginner have an Acoustic and an Electric guitar?

You make a good point about using headphones. I was thinking more about playing the electric acoustically. It's a nice way for me to have a quieter acoustic sound even though it's not as good sounding as a real acoustic. My electric has dual usage. I play the electric plugged and unplugged.
