Default RIP Steve Parr

Since I met him and became IRL friends with him here, I thought this might be of interest to some. Steve passed away after a short cancer battle a few days back in Florida. He's was pretty public about it on his FB page so I thought I'd let people know here as well.

Tell those you love that you love them.

So sorry to hear of this. He was a frequent poster on a mostly political site that I was a member of some years ago. Was never afraid to say what he thought about things. Quite an accomplished photographer as well.

I remember sparring with Steve on the board here in the early days, probably when we were both more prickly. RIP, Steve.

He and I were born on the same day and year - it was eerie reading an obituary with my own birth date.

Just saw the announcement on FB. This one set me back a bit.

Like many here, we met on the TGF back in the early days. We hung out during the Taylorstock event, and he orchestrated many sales of TS guitars through his job at Guitar Trader in San Diego. He moved over to a role at Taylor, and was there for several years. I ran into him a few times at NAMM, and had more than a few laughs over the years.

Steve sometimes came across as loud and brash, but he had a heart as big as Long Island and a more loyal friend you would never find. He will be sorely missed.
