I broke a string !
Yeah me! Huh? but I don't do that!
I can't play at present (which is problematic this week!) so this afternoon I decided to restring my Harmony H1270 12 string (probably not the best choice with two trigger fingers!) It's the most difficult guitar to restring that I have. Would you believe that it was the octave G? Yup, even though I tune my 1s down a tone, It gave out (at the barrel) before I git it to F. I've used Martin M190s to date, but this was the first trial of the new "authentic" kind. Not impressed. It wasn't much fun trying to disentangle the old one from eleven other old strings either. I've ordered a couple of D'addarios for spares.

SM,
Sounds like a defective string. I think Martin has a pretty good fan base for their strings and I do occasionally use them. Over the years I’ve tried string sets from many different manufacturers and I seem to end up coming back to D'addario every time. Best of luck with your trigger finger issue. It can be trying when we are not able to do the things we love. Blues Last edited by BluesBelly; 02-23-2020 at 06:48 AM. |
