Default Martin 0015s Custom from LA Guitar?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for people who have a Martin 0015s Custom from LA Guitar (short scale custom 0015 12 fret slot head). Anyone have thoughts on and experience with these?
Thanks!

I had one and enjoyed it for awhile. I didn't find that I preferred the sound over a 000 15SM. I also had a 0 15SM which was the best of the three, at least for me.
So many personal factors enter in that it is impossible to say one is better than another. I do miss the 0 15 and if it had an old fashioned wide, 1 7/8 nut I would still have it. My fat clumsy fingers like the extra width. Vintage guitars in Philadelphia had a custom 0 17 that looked really nice as of a month ago or so. I would look at that if it is still there. Good luck looking.

A friend of mine bought a new 0-18 from Ted and he was fabulous to deal with.

I have a regular scale LAGS custom 00-15, had it 6-7 years now. It's a keeper obviously. Can't speak to the short scale slothead.

I will say there's a wide variation of the species in the 15 series, i bought and sold several different 15 models before I settled on the custom 00-15.

I have played Ted's customs in his shop before.

Very tempted to pick up one of his 00-15 instruments. The tort. binding is a great upgrade over the stock unbound factory version.

I have no use for an evil blood-letting slot head though.

I have a friend who fell in love with my 00-15 and wanted me to order a new one from Ted. I called Ted, told him the story and told him what I'd look for if I was in the store and the guitar my buddy got is really nice, actually was spectacular out of the case. Thought I'd offer some encouragement.

Thanks so much for the input everyone! I have purchased from Ted before and have nothing but good things to say about that.
Strangly enough, one of the hangups I have with the 0015s is that is has tort binding. I love the look of the raw 15 and old 17 series.

I have two guitars with no binding, a Tacoma and an -01 series Larrivee. Both show damage on the edge and both have a couple minor top separations.

Given the choice of a bound vs unbound guitar, I will always take the bound one.
