Expressive E Touché and my case of the sadz
This comment from Mike in another thread hit home for me. Last week a friend of mine sent me a video of a very cool midi controller called the Expressive E Touché. I was sold immediately and was about to order it. Then I thought I should check the manual to see if I needed to order any cables that I might not have to connect it. Looking over the manual I noticed they had a section for just about every DAW except Pro Tools. It works with just about everything but it doesn't work with Pro Tools. A week later and I'm still kinda sad about that because I think this is a pretty amazing piece of gear.
Anyway, some of you that use a DAW other than PT, you might like this...

I don't use ProTools but I'm surprised that this isn't compatible with it. It's simply sending CC (control change) MIDI info. Are you sure it won't work?

Too bad, but glad you looked to foresee any issues. My self-learning for home recording involved reading a lot of manuals before buying anything. Saves time once you get the gear, too!

Dang, I thought this was going to be a MIDI pickup/controller for acoustic guitars.
Anyway, it's a cool item. |

In the video, the guy says it'll work as a standalone with a MIDI keyboard, which is probably how I'd use it anyway. No DAW required.

I'd want it as a VST controller to use within PT.
