Anyone ever watch old Computer Chronicle shows on Youtube?
I used to watch this show a bit in the late 80's/early 90's. It's kind of funny watching them now as they debuted "cutting edge" technology.
Here's one on CD-ROM's in 1986: Here's one on hard drives (at 9:27 they talk about price and at 9:41 they talk about what kind of user could possibly use 60 mb):

I highly recommend Tomorrow's World. This was a BBC show that ran from the late 60's to early 90's covering 'cutting edge' technology of the time. It's interesting to see technologies that went on to succeed and those that failed.
Some examples. Touchscreens. Precursor to Satnav. Internet!? Many more on YouTube. Last edited by Silurian; 01-18-2019 at 01:02 AM. |
