Like it a lot: it's lively without being gaudy, and the size isn't overwhelming.

Did you finish this rosette? I know that's been over two years... but curious what happened with this project.

Most classical rosettes are made of end grain elements, which show the color of the wood but not the 'light'. That one is side grain, and that adds some life. Side grain ones involve a different bag of tricks from the usual end gain mosaic.They're less common, but are becoming more so.

The project continued, but not with a beautiful side-grain rosette.
Just concentric rings.

Hope to get there someday.
