Default Tunnel 13 redwood SJ from Irvin Guitars (sound clip added)

To all my AGF friends, I just wanted to post some photos of my most recent build. This is my small jumbo model. Tunnel 13 redwood top paired with Indian rosewood, ebony bindings. I must say the redwood creates a sound that I am absolutely in love with. The eternally long sustain and clarity of each note is quite inspiring. I will try and post a sound clip soon. Thanks for viewing.

Beautiful soundboard you’ve got there! I really like the extra character on that one.

I completely agree! That’s a great combination with the Indian Rosewood too.

I second Tom's thoughts! I love Redwood as well, and the LS/Tunnel 13, 14, sound boards are just gorgeous with sound qualities to match. I must admit I love a provenance, story and a history for these tone woods as well. Guitars with these Redwoods are so distinctive!
Congrats on a beautiful instrument and I too will look forward to sound clips!!
Best,
Fred

Wayne, that's a beauty. Congrats! What is the top purfling, by the way?

Thanks Steve! For the top trim that you're asking about, I took trim from the sides to create the purfling strip highlighted in the photo. I get it to the size I want and then bend it with the bindings. I like doing that when I can as it ties aesthetically to the woods involved.
