Sorry to hear that. I have been using my old NT1 as the only mic at my acoustic music club, but I tripped over the lead a while ago and it crashed to the floor - still work, but not sure it sounds as god as it did.

Hope you get yours repaired.

Which Rode? NT1 (without the "A")?

If so, are you getting static in the signal, intermitant hum, increased noise floor? Go HERE (my little webpage).

Any mic can be repaired, the question really becomes:
Is the mic worth repairing?
It depends on which Rode mic it is. If you can replace the mic for a couple of hundred dollars, that might be a cheaper option than having it repaired.

Hi Bob, (didn't want to hijack this thread, but, yes mine is an early model (no A) and the casing is a pale grey.

Can the cage be easily removed and the condenser be tightened?

Any big city and most large towns has an electronics repair dude/dudette. Contact them for repair. Rode might all be able to help.

I think that's likely an error on the part of whatever website that came from. The Rode product manual makes no mention of a battery.

Here is a picture of the mic with the body shell removed. I think the whole shell comes off with set screws down at the base..
