Default "Cessna" - a tune about a rather exhilarating flight over New Hampshire

Hi folks,

Just thought I'd share this new video of mine - a track from my upcoming album. It's inspired by a rather wonderful flight we took over the beautiful New Hampshire countryside a couple of years back. I've tried to encapsulate the feelings of exhilaration and beauty from the take off, through the cruise, catching sight of the runway and finally - the landing. I do hope you enjoy!

More info on this here new album can be found right here: https://www.willmcnicol.co.uk/miniatures.

Huge thanks =)

Hi Will,

That was wonderful!

Such clean playing! And you have the most unusual, unique string attack that I have ever heard. It's as if you have some kind of elastomer glued to the inside of your nails so that the pick attack is dampened somehow -- not too much, just enough to make the guitar sing but with no edge to the sound.

Lovely playing and lovely composition, Will! Great job on the video, too!

- Glenn

Very nice, Will! Both the song, the playing, and the stimulation of my own memories of flying Cessnas over Vermont and New Hamshire 40 years ago!

(and hi Glenn and Bob!)

Best,
Phil

Cheers Glen - and yes I've always rather enjoyed the 'softer' attack - must be a hang on from my classical days! Haven't tried any elastomer yet though - could be a nice little idea there - nails with suspension! =D

Cheers Phil - and awesome to hear about your history of flying Cessnas! I do hope I get the opportunity again one day - was such a joy.
