And did you get the $200 refund for foreign sales? I got a little gold nugget with my X20. Maybe you have to get the big guitar to get the big rewards? Talk to Sean, he'll let you know how it works. let me know how that goes....

Yes, a great looking mug came with the guitar, such a thoughtful gift from the folks at Emerald Guitar.

I need to back-step here. I meant I got the $500 foreign incentive and an ounce of gold. I hope this clears things up.

Congrats! Quick question. From the pictures, it looks like gloss top, satin neck, and crystal ice back and sides? I thought artisans came with full gloss?

Hi thaichine,

Our Artisans do indeed come with a full gloss finish as standard, but as they are built order we are always more than happy to cater for our customers' wishes, in this case it was to have the Opus finish on the back and sides (which we do regularly on Artisans) and then also the satin neck. I hope this clarifies it for you!

Kind Regards,

Sean

Why is the Emerald mug not made out of carbon fiber? Sacrilege, I say, sacrilege!

Just kidding, of course. It looks great and is a nice touch from Emerald. I hope to enjoy one a some point.

Methinks our friend Evan is messin' with ya. (and how often to you get to say "Methinks"??)

If you got a mug, enjoy the lagniappe. If you didn't, it may have been that you purchased before it was being offered. I specifically didn't say something about the mug when I made the posts about getting my X7 last May, because I didn't want to spoil any surprise for other new buyers. I certainly did send my thanks for the whole buying experience to Alistair, Sean, and the staff at Emerald, including the surprise that was in the box.

Oh, and I got a great guitar, too!

Now, about that nugget or ounce of gold...

There are some who would say I qualify. I, of course, would not be in that camp. I am no fool - I appreciate my carbon fiber guitars!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Evan!
