Default Pre-Omega guitar found.

Got pre Omega guitar from Eric(Thanks Eric..)..

This one is built for Steve Wiggins. (Big Tent Revival). it was on Choose Life Music video..

logo is Gallagher other than Omega, he changed it to Omega Later.

cracks and wares are here and there but.. I loved the sound..
Rose Inlay is the same as the one of Omega German/Braz i used to have.

I will have to take to repair man to get set up ..

I will try to record it if possible..Love the case. it's Mark Leaf Case..I call it coffin.~

Enjoy some pics..

This guitar has some serious mojo! One of the better sounding guitars I've had the pleasure to play. it definitely has some age, but thats whats great about it!

a little background of Tony's journey. He finally was able to get an Omega that he wanted (braz/german) absolutely beautiful: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=190230

he actually gave that up to a friend of his in Korea who commissioned with Kevin before his passing. So kudos and BIG THUMBS UP to moga for helping a brother out

Having given up his dream guitar to a friend, I was able to pick up this Omega and thought I could pass it along to moga.

This guitar is really a fine example of Kevin's work and has some wonderful tone. congrats Tony on a great guitar!

Eric or Tony:

Where did this one turn up? What a find. By the way, the box on mine (back and side wood only from Kevin) is together and looks great. I put a different top on it and plan on sending the wood Kevin picked out back to Andrew as a gift.

I got this guitar new frets and some setups (nuts and saddle)..

Todd Stock from MD did a great job period.
I am still in shock how the new set up made this guitar brought to new life.
I coudln't stop playing .. long time i felt that feeling..

I am telling you.. this is my new olson with mojo~..

New frets shines with great looking mojo body.~

That's great. That guitar and Todd's help are surely a good combination. You are going to enjoy that instrument I am certain. Want to bring it over this Saturday while the Leach Roadshow guitar is here?

Seeing the 'pre-Omega' reminds me of the conversation I had with Kevin G around 2000 where we were discussing the Omega name & the change from Gallagher.

Kevin explained when he decided to build his own (after working at Martin for years), he initially built them under his own name. He received some negative feedback from some folks affiliated with 'Gallagher Guitars' (http://www.gallagherguitar.com/. He eventually met Don Gallagher at a tradeshow—some time after Kevin changed his company's name to 'Omega'—and thought very highly of him. Don had no real issues with Kevin using the 'Gallagher' name, but both agreed it best to have different names so as to avoid confusion in the market.

Personally, I like the 'Omega' name as it more aptly reflected Kevin's faith and his business as an extension of his calling.

wow, I just played this guitar and man does this one have some serious mojo. Its also about 3/4 an inch deeper than my Omega. This one has some serious killer tone. Hopefully Tony will bring it to the AGF get together next month so people can see how awesome this guitar is!

I can't remember the exact details but one of Big Tent's albums they did a bonus track that was devoted to this guitar.

Kinda cool.
