My wife and I watched that. Very funny and excellent writing.

Speaking of which, my wife and I are also going through "Sherlock" with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Again, I love the humor and the contemporary take on the characters - though we just got to an episode that was set in Victorian London, which was actually kind of refreshing in a way.

We're also starting "The Crown" but I'm finding it to be a little too serious for my takes. Given the state of politics I'd rather a bit of escapism that an interpretation of history - though I find John Lithgow as an elderly and eccentric Winston Churchill to be somewhat amusing.

I'm also watching "The Umbrella Academy." I believe I'm up to the end of season 1 but I can't tell. Netflix has this way of just sucking you into a series without letting you come up for air if you're not careful.
"Sherlock" was great. I'm still hopeful that they might do one more run.

Understandable on "The Crown." It's a historical drama, so escapism isn't as easily realized there. Lithgow is awesome (and just celebrated his 75th birthday yesterday!).

We cut the cord with cable probably 10-plus years ago. Nothing but streaming now and don't miss commercials and non-stop ridiculous reality TV which I blame for the decline of modern civilization. We started with Netflix and we have Prime for the Prime shipping and just recently added Disney for Hamilton and The Mandalorean.

Lots of great shows to stream. I prefer the reruns of 'network' shows as they are hour-long (45 minutes) and there are usually 20-plus per season. All of the new Netflix or Prime originals are generally only 8-10 per 'season' so you watch them in a few days and then have to wait. Some are good, some are great, many are just 'meh'.

The other thing you have to be really careful of with network shows running on the streaming channels is that sometimes they 'end' (meaning they are removed from the stream) with little to no fanfare and if you're in the middle - or worse, right near the end - of the series you'll be left high-and-dry!

Favorite shows I've watched over the years are as follows (note this list is from memory and some of these shows are no longer available to stream):

The West Wing
House
Lucifer
House Of Cards
Altered Carbon
The Boyz
Jack Ryan
The Blacklist
The Great British Baking Show
The Kominsky Method
Lost In Space
Away
The Witcher
Bodyguard
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Modern Love
Fleabag
Forever
Catastrophe
The Tick
The Feed

Many of these I think have been removed but were favorites:

Justified
Son's Of Anarchy
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Bones
The Sheild
The Network
Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip
Criminal Minds
Dexter
Agents Of Shield
Weeds
Person Of Interest

From what I understand Sherlock isn't officially "over" but Freeman and Cumberbatch have been busy on other projects - though both have expressed a desire to revisit the series for another "season" (of 3 whopping 90 minute episodes.)

Websites like Huffington Post, Esquire, et al will list what is leaving various streaming services during the next month, usually a week or so before the month ends.

I took up CBS all access free 1 week offer, and am going to be binge watching Star Trek "Discovery"

Just finished the 4th and last season of Black Sails on Hulu.
Started off a bit slow but by the 4th episode it took off
I love how they mixed history and fiction (mostly fiction) in order to tell an epic pirate saga

Both superb.

I got hooked on The French Village. I’m not sure that all seasons are free on Prime right now—I had to go to a different service to get the final seasons.

Just started Goliath (Billy Bob Thornton) on Amazon Prime. First episode is intriguing, enough to get me to watch episode 2.

One of the most emotionally powerful and visually arresting series I have ever seen. I don't have the words.
