When I'm working around the house, I have a Nick Drake playlist that keeps me relaxed and in the flow...

I usually put on some jam bands like Phish or Moe. Keeps the dishwashing pace on high gear! How can you not get pumped listening to “Divided Sky”?

I think I've responded prior, but I can't say enough about Radio Garden. I listen to community radio from Ireland, folk music from northern-most Norway, the daily broadcasts from places like St. Helena, Kansas City, Capetown, Orange County, NY, or Cherbourg in France. Needless to say, when I do put on music whilst drying the dishes, et al, I check out Radio Garden. Give it a listen!

I have an Echo Dot. I just say “Alexa, play the blues”, and the device does.

Depends. If my wife is here and we're doing chores, we crank up the older country western she digs. On my own, I listen to a mix of rock, blues, brit, twang and acoustic, 80-90% of it recorded in the second half of last century. Lots of lesser-known artists and B-sides by popular players, things that make people ask who it is, even other musicians.

And audiobooks on earbuds. I've plowed through hundreds of books in the past few years while I work on projects and hobbies around the house.

Sure, I'll try. I don't know a darned thing about the band, Rhythm Heritage, so no information there.

There used to be a tv show in the 70s called S.W.A.T., which stands for Special Weapons And Tactics unit. They were elite cops who dealt with problems that were too tricky for the regular police. I used to watch this show as a kid, but can't really remember it now. I suspect it would seem pretty dated. It was a popular show.

What was probably the best thing about this show was the theme song, which was a hit in its own right, and reached the Billboard Top 100. I would have thought it was a Mike Post song, as it sure sounds like one, but it isn't. He wrote a lot of great tv themes. But I just looked and it was written by Barry De Vorzon, whom I also know nothing about.

It's a cool tune and fun to hear. It might be better snow shoveling music than dish washing music, unless you, like me, want to repel down the outside of your house then crash through the kitchen window to make a dramatic entrance. "Need some help?", I'll courteously ask.

Wikipedia tells me this hit version is not quite the same as the theme used for the actual program, so later I'll have to go and listen to the tv show version.

I think it could be slowed down and arranged for fingerstyle guitar, but I most likely won't take the time to do that.

Lately I've been listening to a Pandora playlist that features Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes and Michael Kiwanuka. It's not acoustic but I like it.

I listen to the Jason Isbell channel on Pandora. I get Turnpike Trubadors, Ol 97s, and Bottle
Rockets as a bonus. Great vacuuming music.
