Have you ever seen a short "Taylor versus Martin" thread?

Default My HD-28 has a richer sound than my 410 CE

I have a 410 CE and subsequently purchased an HD-28. I love both guitars and appreciate playing both because they have different sounds. If I could only keep one, though, I would probably choose the Martin. I personally find the sound to be richer and to my ear, it sounds better. I still love my Taylor.

Default D-42

I own a custom D-42 (adi top & bone nut and saddle) and I tell you it is not only one of the best looking guitars I have ever seen, but it is by far the BEST sounding guitar I have ever held or played........Tone to die for

Ned, Sounds like a great guitar!
But why did you have to bring back this nasty old thread?
Next time, just start a new one.

BTW - welcome to the forum!!

Just bought an HD-28, fabulous fit and finish inside and out, playability right out of the box is excellent, tone volume and balance superb. Everything about this guitar is a merit to Martin, I like my Taylor and I like my Martin and I can say for sure that next year I will search for a D-18GE. Probably because they "suck" so much I would think? Yeah thats it.

You sir, give decent forums like this a bad name just for the fact that you can express your precious opinion freely. Constructive criticism is one thing but I tend to believe you had other intentions for your post.

I used to feel that way about Martins until a D35 really grabbed my attention.

I did not get the D35 but that started my search into Martin land.
Found a great HD28 and bought it.

Had it set up by my luthier. I added a comp bone saddle.
Fresh phosphor bronze strings. You can't go wrong.
One great guitar.

Note that the originator of the thread ten months ago has been reduced to "Guest" status. Says something...

Actually, "Iceman" still posts on occassion. He has this "thing" about Martin guitars and occasionally feels the need to fire off a salvo of fish bait. I think it corresponds to when he is facing his college midterms . Ahh the arrogance of youth!!

Some of his posts are funny as hell to boot.
I'm guessing this post was supposed to be a sarcastic reaction to
another old thread.
