Thanks, Ray. “Overchoice” is a well known and common stressor. I completely understand what you are saying. I didn’t mean to project my potential stressors upon you. I apologize. Your post got me thinking about potential stressors in general and how it could apply to me. Though I don’t find multiple 4k$ guitars stressful I may find having all/most my guitar resources tied up in one instrument stressful. But that’s just me. And it’s all hypothetical for me at this point. |

I would like a Gibson LG-2, or another LG-2 type of body, small and deep.
Next would be a cedar or mahogany topped small body, maybe an Eastman E2OM. The Eastman is more likely finance wise.

Sounds about right to me, Janine. Sad to hear about that nice guitar going unplayed. I've owned 2 D-50s. Both were outstanding guitars, especially the one in Antique Sunburst. But I let both go because they both sounded and played almost exactly like my D-46. Exceptional guitars, for sure!

Barry, you bought a McIlroy? I see in your sig it's 'in transit'. Exciting! I've never seen one before but would love to try one and probably own.
Yamaha FG5, that's the one that is in my sights now. Made in Japan but always out of stock at Long & McQuade, and from what I read here on the AGF, in the US too. |

I'm waiting for my local shop to get the 000-16 StreetMaster in so I can check it out.

At the risk of being called a thread spoiler or a liar, I'm not remotely interested in another guitar. The combination of my three Emeralds and Fender Strat is way more than I need (or want)...

Pretty excited to try the new Martin D-18A 1937 VTS. But it's going to have to be a rich/lush sounding D-18 for me to want to buy it. I don't do dry sounding guitars and am more of a Rosewood person generally.

Nothing, I’m very content with my guitars for the time being, although I only very recently acquired a D-18.
