Martin Tweedy 00DB or 0018v or similar
Used to own one and let it go. It was a mistake. Anyone want to let one go?

Still current model?
It still seems to be a "current" model on the Martin website (although I'm sure they are near impossible to find).
There also is one on reverb: https://reverb.com/item/44866006-mar...016-wood-grain Last edited by Acousticado; 09-27-2021 at 04:54 PM. |

If I didn't just buy a 1930 00-17, I'd be all over this Preston Thompson that Transylvania posted on the forum:
Preston Thompson 00 all mahogany. I've owned several of this style (Martin, Collings, SC 1929) and this one is as good or better than any of them. Simply looking to pare down a bit and this little jewel is getting the least attention. Only so many hours in a day. That said, no panic to sell. There is a booklet with the specs that I will include, but there are a couple of items of which I am suspect. I will detail these further down. This instrument has surprising volume, clear and strong. Great for blues, finger and flat picking, and holds up well for light strumming. Excellent ++ condition, the only "issue" is there is a shiny spot where the pickguard should go--transfer of oil from grounding a finger. Excellent condition Harptone case. The ONLY trade I might be be interested in is a baritone of equal value. NOW $3800.00 OBRO shipped east of Mississippi. West we can discuss. Payment fees (if any) are responsibility of the buyer. Lots of deals here on the AGF, so it you need a reference... Thanks for taking a look Body and top: Mahogany Neck: Mahogany, slotted head. Single truss rod Fretboard: * Specs say ebony, but look Rosewood to me Bridge: * Specs say ebony, but looks Brazilian Rosewood (only two options PT offers) Bracing : Adirondack Nut: 1 3/4 bone Saddle: Bone Spacing: 2 5/16 25" scale 19.5" body length 14" lower bout Satin finish |
