I read through the instruction in the FAQ. I copied the hyperlink and used the mountain button, but it doesn't like it for some reason....

Now that I figured out this whole photo thing, back to the regularly scheduled programming. Sorry for the detour.

Today the sides got shaped to fit the back/top. They also got cleaned up on the inside so none of the oil released during bending was left. Then the kerfing went in.

I got a little bit of shop time this weekend. I flushed the kerfing to the sides and then glued in the soundport laminate and the side struts.

Today it came time to attack the board of curly maple. I first cut off a stick for the binding. I then resawed a piece for the center strip of the neck. I also cut out a veneer and sanded it down to .030" to use for purfling. I then took that maple veneer and sandwiched it between two piece of black veneer.

While the glue was drying, I cut out the soundport.

Default So much glue....

Today, the purfing got glued to the binding. The back got glued together. The back strap got glued together. The 3 piece neck got glued up. SO much glue... After the glue dried, I cut up the binding, cut the back to shape, and cut the back strap to shape. I then glued the back strap in place. Maybe I should take out some stock in the glue market.

Hey, StringMeUp! Sorry, I live in Austin, but I think I'm a pretty nice guy, too. And yes, I consider myself pretty lucky!! I think Chris is in the process of constructing one fabulous guitar!
