Hi there, I do not have as much experience as many others here in regards to pickups, etc. but I have recently starting playing out in a few pubs.

I have an Eastman E20D and I like the thump and bass that it provides. I had a Baggs Lyric that did not produce the sound I was looking for, very thin and tinny and I just couldn't dial in the sound the way I wanted it. Anyways, removed that, put in a JJB Prestige 330 and use a Baggs Session DI (similar to your Para DI) and it sounds wonderful with the low end I was looking for plus nice clear highs as well. For me it sounds great, and to others so they say!
Anyways, good luck...
Cheers.

Here is my J45/M80 strummed into Baggs Align Eq -> Bose S1, recorded with a Rode NT1 into a scarlett 2i2 about a 1 ft away. Sennheiser e935 for voc into the S1.
