Circuit mod to pad one channel of dual preamp?
I'm using a dual-channel RedEye preamp/DI with a resonator (vintage Dobro round neck.) I've got a K&K spider piezo and a powered K&K Trinity mic externally mounted over the sound holes. The piezo channel overwhelms the mic channel, it's only usable if the piezo channel is just a hair above off. Is there a simple mod I can do to pad the piezo channel in the pre-amp? Is it just a resistor, and if so how do I determine the value? Or is a pad circuit more complicated to preserve tone? I'm comfortable getting inside with a soldering iron, I've already substantially modified the thing to be dual channel switchable between two instruments. Any thoughts?

This will work and is adjustable. It is a 500K ohm audio taper pot which is close enough to the ideal 1M for a K&K.
