Default Chris Brennan Skype lesson

https://youtu.be/Kr8vjk_ZtQw

I found this guy while looking for cool stuff to learn on YouTube. He’s an amazing player living in the UK and he really did a deep dive into Tony Rice’s playing. I sent him an email and we set up a Skype lesson for today. He gave me plenty to work on and I really enjoyed the lesson. He hasn’t been doing Skype lessons all that long and I told him I’d pass the word along (he didn’t ask). So, if anyone is interested in trying to learn some really cool stuff from an amazing player who knows his stuff, I highly recommend giving him a try. I’ll share his email via private message.

For sure. He’s got some serious chops, and he’s a really nice guy.

That is as good as it gets over the internet.
Now if he could only teach it at 10bpm I might have a chance.

I hear you. He slows it down in lessons, and really gets into the technique. To me, that’s the crucial part for eventually getting it clean and up to speed. When I first started trying to learn it I had to go slow - painfully slow. I still don’t have it up to the actual speed, but through the lessons (which included him giving me the full tab/notation) and lots of practice/repetition, I can actually play it pretty well. I don’t have a YouTube channel but if you’re interested I can text you a video of me playing it, which will show you that even we mere mortals can pull it off with perseverance.
