Default Granny’s Les Paul. (25)

I was examining a very grandmotherly lady and happened to mention music to her. She said that she mostly played piano, but has a Les Paul that she really enjoys playing. Her son had taught her to play and for a while she had a Gibson flat top, but the electric is really what she enjoys. Then she asked me if I had heard a certain church song, and when I said no, she sang all three verses admirably. I definitely gave her a pick, and would bet she can make that Les Paul sing also.

Did you ask her if her name was Mary Ford?

You didn't ask her about her slide work. That granny can wail, not to mention that guitar face.

Frank,
Thanks for the Mary Ford pun!
My guitar history is not great so I did not know who she was. I pulled her up and listened to her and Les play Mockingbird Hill. Great fun.

I was waiting for you to say you asked her how old it was and she replied it was bought in 1959.

Dreams crushed.
