Default NGD pretty lectric!!!

A couple days ago my step son went with me shopping. We hit Carter's and Guitar Center. (didn't have time for Gruhn's). I purchased a used Vox AC30S1 and we headed home. During the trip I mentioned I'd maybe like to own an Esquire. Love the one pick up thing. When we got home he came over to try out the amp. He brought the "Esquire" that he and I built about 10 years ago. It's been in the case since then. Been played out once. When I say we "built" it..I mean we went to the sawmill and got the raw wood!!....we bought the completed neck and a buddy of mine who paints cars did an amazing job on it. So, since he didn't play it..he said he'd sell it to me...since now I can use it in one of my 2 cover bands...lol...we made a deal and now I have "my" "our" Esquire...(and it's a keeper!!)it has the Billy Gibbons pick up...which is real gritty...sounds amazing....as you can see we did the thing on the headstock that Dan at Danocasters did...(you'll notice the holes on the back...I didn't have a drill press...but...to me that's kinda like the mole on Cindy Crawfords face..)

Very cool! Love the story/history, and the guitar. Great amp choice as well. Enjoy the memories and the music!

Cool, but I gotta ask... if there is only one pickup, what does the 3-way selector switch do? (Other than just make it look like a Tele.)

Sweet! Body looks cool and the paint job makes it look slightly relic'd too.

It's great that you got your dream and your guitar back at the same time. Love the decal!

The Esquire wiring is back position, full pick-up no tone, middle the tone knob kicks in...this guitar has the "cocked wah" setting in the front position...which from what I understand is supposed to be used with a wah pedal....It mainly stays in the back...with this Billy Gibbons pick up...it's a rock and roll machine!!!
