Default THERE IS A FIX FOR THE BOSE S1 BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM

The fix was announced early today on the Bose forum. My two units are heading in for the fix. They said turnaround time is about 3 weeks.

"If your S1 Pro system battery is draining when the system is not in use and not connected to AC power, please contact Bose Support. They will work with you to get your S1 system repaired.

Bose® Product & Technical Support at (877) 335-2673

Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM ET"

Thanks for the info. I just received my New S1 last week. Bought it on the black Friday special that came with a free backpack..
Mine hasn't had time to sit idle to even know if the latest units still have the issue. I guess I will have to charge mine up and not use it for a week or 2, that's gonna be tough to do..

any tips on best, shortest time testing method ?

Approximately how long would I have to leave it off and unplugged to noticed that the battery drained? Hours, Days, weeks, months?

I haven't noticed anything unusual so far, so I guess I am not too concerned.

3 weeks turnaround. I guess they expect a lots of units coming back.

Bose decided to give a free backpack for Black friday in order to empty the stocks (in Europe too), so the customers would have to handle the testing/returning hassle instead of their dealers.

How smart is that?

I wonder if they will ever publish what is the first "post fix" serial number.

Fix or no fix, Bose must have been meeting or exceeding sales expectations for the S1 Pro. They had everything else (L1 Compact, headphones, home speakers, etc.) on sale at various times in the past year but never the S1 Pro. I even subscribed to their junk mail list hoping I'd catch a sale. Nothing. Hopefully, for those that own them, this fix is real and lasting.

Called Bose, they were not cooperative when I asked about serial #'s

I just bought the S1 Pro and the manufacture date says November 2018
bought from Guitar Center, don't understand why it would be sitting in a warehouse for one year. Wondering if I should return it- lithium batteries should not be sitting for one year. Any suggestions?

I too am wondering how long it should take for us to be able to notice an out-of-ordinary battery drain. It would be nice to be able to, say, fully charge it in the evening and notice maybe a 5% loss or so in 24 hours -- some kind of data like that to know if it's got a problem or not. Does anyone know?
