Looks nice. Saw a similar one with a different logo on it on Amazon. $129.

I think they should also re-release some old vinyl records made of wood!

You can do that, you know...

They only have 25 available so I took it as they have some Sinker Mahogany that's not sufficient for guitars and rather than throw it away they found something else to do with it. I think it's cool but over priced for me.

Certainly explains the anticipated need for that massive warehouse they built several years ago, though...

I'm not defending them but you absolutely didn't see a similar one for $129. This is a perfectly decent mid-level turntable. It's not an audiophiles dream or anything but it's not bad. The cartridge alone is $100. You can buy this exact same deck for $550 brand new with a painted wooden base. If you want it in Walnut, it's another $100. Again, not an amazing turntable, and you can find a better one at this price point but it's definitely not some cheapo $129 Amazon junk.

They knocked it out of the park with my 2022 000-18 CAA.

Re : OSAGE - he's exactly right. In the hi fi world, that's an inexpensive turntable that probably sounds great. Sure you're paying $500 more for the "limited" edition and fancy wood. But it looks really nice.
Those in the know, know.

Would I buy it? No. I would never buy a table with pre installed cheapo cartridge. That's a dead giveaway to anyone serious about vinyl.

Would one of my kids buy it, maybe. They don't listen like I do, which is just fine.

Is there any turntable you would recommend for someone who doesn’t want to spend more than a couple hundred bucks? We have a good old McIntosh amp from 1968, but our turntable is kaput.

I'd go to this forum to start your research. https://forum.audiogon.com/topics/analog. Just a warning - a buncha grumpy old guys, but tons of good information. That site has been around for decades but it's not nearly as well moderated as AGF.

I might look for a well used Rega Planar 3 to start with. Nice table, great arm. You're going to need a cartridge as well, maybe a Grado or a Denon DL 3 (check their web sites). Is there a phono stage in the Mac? You're probably going to want a moving magnet cartridge. I don't think I'd buy used on a cartridge.

The big gotcha is under a couple of hundred bucks. PM me if you want to chat.

The Mac must be a lovely piece!!!!

Just think about how good your vinyl is going to sound in 50 to 75 years. And the turn table will be a vintage collectible

Whatever's next won't surprise me. And given how hard-core Martin fans are, they'll probably sell a bunch of them.

This kind of stuff gives me Harley Davidson vibes.
