Question Tuning Keys?

Hi folks,

I have a classical Lucia Artista that I bought some years back. It was inexpensive at the time but the price has since shot up for some reason. Anyway, despite the inexpensive cost (at the time) it's a very good cedar top guitar. The only thing I hate are the cheap looking tuning keys. I'd like to find something to replace them and like the nickle frame, ebony keys. Any ideas where I could look to purchase this? I notice Hauser has some nice keys but not sure how I feel about the gold look. Thanks in advance.

Laura

Hi Laura,
You didn't state your budget, so this will be a guess on my part.
You can try looking at Stewart MacDonald's website in their "tuner" section:

http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/G...ad_tuners.html

You'll find Schallers starting around 50 bucks, and you can move up to Waverlys starting around 230 or so.
And it will go up from there. Gotoh makes a nice, not-too-expensive tuner available from LMI:

Hope this helps!
