Thank you everyone for all the love, I should have this guitar in my hands this week and will give my first impressions as soon as I can. I have very high expectations which I am sure will be met.

What a gorgeous guitar Tom! Bruce builds such fine instruments. I played one at Woodstock a number of years ago, and it's still with me (only in memories, unfortunately). The fretboard looks great with the snakewood- so cool! I think Kathy will come around when she sees it

Haha, no Kathy loves the fretboard what she may not be so quick to back me up on is the fact that I am so agreeable LOL

Today I will clean up Tom's guitar, make a truss rod cover, a second slightly higher saddle for "just in case", and take some photos. Tomorrow I plan to ship.

I went out to take some pictures and found the winter coming up quickly enough that I had already lost the light I prefer . . . so I took a few shots anyway. I made a new saddle AND a new nut, and the truss rod cover as well. The guitars plays as I would wish now, and tomorrow I will do the final cleaning and then the packing/shipping ritual. And hopefully, some better pics, though these are good enough for the documentation, which is my actual reason for doing them.

Tom and I picked out a set of tuners which were black with snakewood buttons. Unfortunately, on closer scrutiny those are slothead tuners. It will be several weeks till I can get the spec'd ones, so these will have to do for the moment. Sorry about that, Tom.

Wow, she looks great Bruce. Thank you. I love it all, but in particular, how the fretboard, rosette, that pick guard we picked out and the bridge all look so good together!

But, then again, how can I not list that BRW as the highlight or how the truss rod cover color blends with the more red streak in the middle of the front headstock veneer! I am just becoming more and more of a snakewood fan especially with this dark BRW. I can not wait to hear it. I remember being in your shop and every guitar you placed in my hands had the perfect set-up all playing so easily. I can't wait to experience that on my own Sexauer.

Tuners hmmm....do you want to just change them out in March???

Tom

Kudos to Bruce and congrats, Tom--this really looks amazing!

Yet another one I'm looking forward to playing...

Can't remember if you mentioned this earlier--is this your first fan-fret (or I should say mild fan-fret)?

Yes, for sure, my one and only. If I am not mistaken, I played one at the shop and it is so mild you may not realize you are playing one, but it is enough to help with drop tunings. I am so forward to all the folks coming in March that I wish were could just jump forward a few months!

It is a simple screw-driver job, Tom, but if you're willing to wait that long, I'll do it in March with a smile.

I think those tuners look great, myself! Are they the same ones we were discussing on FB, Bruce?

Tom, this is surely one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen. I love Bruce's minimalist multi-scale: just enough asymmetry to give it a swagger, instead of, like many, looking drunk.

From certain angles, my JB doesn't look like a MultiScale at all. This is because the entire guitar is as asymmetrical as the fretboard. From other angles, however, traditionalists may experience vertigo like symptoms.

If you're not used up looking at pictures of Tom's guitar (to be shipped today), you can find my glaringly honest sunny day pictures of it HERE. I have cleaned it and put on a set of 80/20 John Pearce strings, which will not go up to tension till Tom takes it out of its Visesnut case around Friday.
