Well, another day, another collection of pics! The finish has been applied and all that remains to be done is the bridge, nut/saddle etc etc!

I think it looks rather wonderful so far...

Nice shot showing the body taper.

The view from the front.

I can almost hear it...

Those of you going to this year's Montreal Guitar Show http://www.salondeguitaredemontreal.com/default-en.aspx will be able to see it displayed and hear it in a mini-concert on Saturday 2nd of July at 1:05pm.

Those of you at Healdsburg http://guitarfestival.lmii.com/ can see it at Jason's table as well as hearing it in a featured concert at 2:30pm on Friday 12th August.

If you're not at either festival rest assured that the guitar will be featured prominently (along with instruments by Stefan Sobell and Ervin Somogyi) on my debut album. His Excellency Tony McManus is producing the project and I look forward to kicking down the studio doors with a guitar in each hand in early 2012. Woo, and indeed, hoo.

Congratulations of the highest order, good sir. I will be in line to acquire said recording as soon as it is complete. Having the great McManus as a producer must be exciting and more than a little reassuring - the man believes in QUALITY work. Very glad for your deserved success.

That is a wonderful looking instrument and I am delighted to have a chance to see it and hear you play it in Montreal. It will be a great addition to the recording I am sure. Nice stable of instruments you have lined up for the ride!

Hi Michael,

I have spent a good part of the morning reading through this marvelous thread. I have enjoyed so many aspects of it... the glow-in-the-dark position dots, that amazing rosette design, your various videos, all the photos showing the Jason Kostal build... Wow! What an education I've had this morning.

I am quite anxious now to see the photos of the final guitar and to see some videos or hear some sound files. I wish I could go to Healdsburg this summer but one of my daughters and her family have scheduled a visit to our home right in the middle of the Healdsburg dates... So I'm afraid Healdsburg will not happen for me. This is my fault for not communicating well enough, not hers, of course.

Thanks for sharing this thread with the AGF! Really inspiring!

- Glenn

I can't wait to see what this guitar looks like when it is strung up. This is a little unrelated, but Jason is really awesome. After reading my thread about the guitar I plan on building for my dad, he offered to give me all of the materials to build it. I declined because I felt a little uncomfortable accepting all of that, but I'm incredibly thankful for the offer and the incredibly nice email he sent me. I'm not sure if it says it on his website, but he's a US army veteran and donates 10% of his guitar sales to the wounded warriors foundation. I can't wait to see Jason again at Woodstock in october.

Well I met Jason face-to-face last night. What a nice bloke!

Have to name drop here as well - we met in Studio 2 at Abbey Road, London. A few bands have recorded the odd successful album in there...

Also got to meet some other guys from the forum there as well; A great time was had by all.

Cheers,
Steve
