This is the view from the back deck of the house I'll be moving into before long.

Yes - bought it a couple of years ago on a bit of a whim, but I've grown to really like it. It's tiny, and very unobtrusive to use, especially in a situation like this. Overall, I'm most impressed with the quality, and the fact that the controls and menu system are very similar to my a6500 makes moving from one to the other very easy.

I have a whole "group" of wild parrots that live right behind me. Probably about 30 of them. They're cool to watch but they're really loud.
We used to have a double yellow headed Amazon as a pet, and he was very loud all by himself. Can't imagine 30 of them having a go

I've got to get to Africa some time. Lovely. What, may I ask did you shoot these with?

I shoot a lot of motorsports, primarily at Daytona International Speedway.

And I love motorcycle racing:

I used to do photography for a large cat sanctuary near Jacksonville, Florida. Sometimes I'd get in the enclosures with the cats to get some "next level" shots.

Thankfully, since none of the cats had ever been in the wild and were fed regularly, they lacked the predisposition to pounce on anything that couldn't outrun them!

Merci. Some were taken with the Sony A7R II, Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3, All photos for the day shot at full 600mm with hand-held monopod. Most were then cropped in a bit as the animals were pretty far away. Some shots in the park were taken with the RX10 IV, again at 600mm.

A couple of weeks ago we had a lightning storm like I've never seen. The sky was alive, constant lightning, 3 out of 4 still photos showed lightning somehwere in the sky. Here I tried a 5 second exposure.

The dog and I hiked up to Lost Lake the other day, just below the Continental Divide.
