Its a good solid feeling guitar and the tone that you can get is nice and fat. I have bought an add on Roland G3 synth p/u that I can put on other guitars. I tried it on my Taylor 422RW for a while and it was better but right now I have the p/u my LP. I would definitely sell the Godin for a reasonable price. I don't have any experience with the Rick Turner.

I have two buddies here who both own Godin Multiac Nylon Duet, both very good active musicians... they are crazy about the guitars, love them, and both can afford to play whatever they want.
For myself, I am thinking Gretsch 6120... but that's me.

Le godin suonano meglio delle chet atkins conduce soli potenziometri. The atkins chets with three pots have new individually adjustable pickups and are superior to godins. The godins sound better than the atkins chet leads only potentiometers. |

I have three Rick Turner Renaissance RS6 models, 2 of them are the Deuce version. I had five, but I sold a really fancy nylon string version for quite a bit less than it's worth today and I had a 4th steel string that was just excess.
These are the guitars I gig with 99% of the time. It's rare that I take a "real" acoustic anymore. I love that I can get any volume and any amount of bass without feedback. Plus they play and sound great and it's nice to have something unusual. I just realized this is a zombie thread. But I've had all 3 and while I really did like the Chet, I sold it back to the guy I bought it from and my Turners have been #1 for about 6-7 years now. |
