Wow! I'm glad you came out intact.

Yeah...”Busker Blues”. Davis, that’s crazy what you had to endure. It’s sad that someone likely with a serious drug problem or mental illness chose to attack you in such a way. Your instincts probably minimized what could have been worse.

Whatever it was that protected you from worse, I am most grateful! I hope the perpetrator will be (has been?) caught and prevented from doing something like this again.

That said, I had warned you about playing "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" with your fake Tiny Tim voice. His fans don't take it lightly.

Sorry to hear about this - and I am glad to hear you are OK..

I think this serves as a reminder that deranged and evil people are out there.... Certainly there are not many - but it only takes one.

I think you are right to be prepared for strange situations... You have no moral obligation to allow them to harm you..... The old adage applies - when seconds count, the police are hours away...

You do realize your going to have to write a song about it and thus covert a negative into a positive

OMG, Davis! Hope you got some medical attention and are on the mend. Shouldn’t have blown off that request for “Free Bird.” Until now, the worst thing I’ve encountered while busking was heat exhaustion. (And while my band was playing a block party, someone draped his pet python over my shoulders—but I finished the song). But this takes the cake. (Speaking of which, you owe yourself a slice of your favorite).

Be well, heal—and be careful out there!

Gosh, Davis! How horrible and frightening that must've been! That wasn't fair, you didn't deserve it and it shouldn't have happened. I admire how you've handled it, though, both during and since the incident. You have a high level of self-care ability.

Peace and love,

Crap! And as a martial arts practitioner, I know first hand how hard it is to protect yourself from a sucker punch. After all we live in a civilized society, one can’t be acting like in the jungle all the time. Even Dimebag wasn’t protected despite playing in a professional venue and all. Consolation is that those nuts are rather uncommon. Make sure he got arrested and is locked up. Best of luck to you!

Glad to see you are ok.

Sub-conscience restraint?

Had he not run away or if you went after him you could have seriously injured or killed the guy in anger. Someone was watching over you!
