Default Emerald Guitar August Select Series

*This is the REAL announcement, not the recent Long Jon FAKE NEWS announcement*

Features for August include slotted headstock on steel and nylon string models in high-gloss red CF weave with k&k pick-ups. Absolutely love that headstock...arguably one of the most beautiful designs. Wish the hound logo was placed somewhere, but there is none. At the 12th fret would've been nice, but the standard hound logo may be too big to fit. Maybe on the body at the end of the neck would look good.

Default Emerald's "Select Series" for August

(Edited to add: Ha! Tom beat me to it… I need to learn to type faster!)

No woodys for this month's Select Series. Instead, red carbon weave, all with hand-carved slotted headstocks and K&K pickups!

A slot head Balor Bass! No words… (Okay… one word: want!)

I momentarily looked for the "hound" but actually, these guitars are so good looking as they are, it doesn't matter to me.

Really a nice selection and I love that headstock.

Yes, you're right. The understated look is also beautiful.

Are these in stock and available? It reads as though these are options for build?? The headstock is sweet and it's nice to see so many nylon string guitars in the line up.

Like every monthly Select Series, these specific guitars are in stock and available until sold.

I think they build one of each, so as long as it's listed as available it hasn't been sold.

Two of six are sold already, pretty normal for the select series. But both nylon strung X20's (one regular, one fan fret) are still up for grabs..... the ball is in your court, Evan.

Earl;

I've already had a ruby red X20-OSN. My X10-OSN, with the cool headstock, replaced the 20 as a better fit. I didn't see my on-order nylon string electric guitar in the batch so I think I'll just wait, thank you.

There must be some Leprechauns in Ireland to help conceive these beauties!

We were out and about all day (on the Blue Ridge Parkway - great Blue Ridge Music Center there, btw), and I got home to find the August Select Series e-mail... as usual gorgeous! Those carved slot-heads are hot looking! And, lots of nylon options.

Very nice, Alistair and crew!

Default Tuner question

Wow, beautiful, simply gorgeous. Very tempting, drooling over one particular model.
Question for you knowledgeable ladies and gents.... the August series come with Schertler tuners, how do these compare with the Goto 510 18:1 that come with the standard model, is either one of these considered better than the other?
Prompt reply appreciated

This is fun. I have an X7 nylon custom with slotted headstock and an X7 steel string green select series with hound art.

Emerald is jerkin' our chains (in a good way ). There are woodies, then hound art, then different woodies, then fan frets, then vertical weave / pinless bridge, then different woodies and then slotted headstocks with steel-string, nylon and fan frets. Please, keep - it - up!

Jim
