Default Build Thread: Pagelli 40th Anniversary

This may be the first Pagelli build thread in AGF history? Not sure.

I met Claudio at SBAIC in 2016 and fell in love with the redwood parlor he had there. The volume and intimacy of that guitar was impressive and immersive. Claudio and Claudia really march to the beat of their own drum. They tend not to build the same model over and over but rather build in batches with new designs that challenge them artistically.

They're currently working on a batch of guitars they call their 40th anniversary models. Claudio had 5 guitars roughed out, and I had a chance to pick the woods I preferred of the 5 he had in process. I don't know a lot about the specs, to be honest. I'll just let them do their thing.

Top: Swiss alpine moon spruce
Back and sides: Maple
Neck and neck block/shoulder: Padauk
Fingerboard, bridge, binding: Ebony
Scale: 65 cm (25.6")

Wow! I'm not familiar with Pagelli guitars, but I really like the looks of the small one on the left in the first picture from your post. Is that the redwood one?

Looking forward to seeing how this one comes out and hearing your impressions.

Congrats Juston,

Our Baranik buddy Al has sung the praises of Pagelli guitars to me for a few years now so it is great to see you taking the plunge on one.

It will look strange next to your Circa guitars though!

This is very cool indeed. I love when someone challenges the norms and produces something great and this looks very much on that realm. Thanks for sharing

Indeed, but this one is empty inside, whereas some of the more recent spacecraft have been filled with wanker.

Really beautiful lines. Thanks for sharing this, Juston. I have always admired the originality of their designs and got to strum a guitar that they had built with an actual stone top once.
